Handmade Yurts

Step into one of our handmade yurts after a day of fresh sea air and it instantly feels like home. There’s something really comforting about the circular space. With its architectural roof – each pole individually cut and steam-bent – and its high, transparent roof wheel, a yurt is a unique place to stay.

Solar fairy lights lend that warm glow to your evening and a wood burning stove will take the chill off at night. Our yurts sleep up to four people with a main double bed and two optional single futons with mattress toppers for extra comfort. The yurts are off-grid and come with a solar power pack for charging small devices. There’s a dining table and chairs, plus storage and all the pans, crockery and cutlery you’ll need.

There are two bedding options for our glamping accommodation: The Eco Package and the Luxury Package. With our Eco Package – which we encourage as a Greener Camping Club site as it cuts down on the huge amount of laundry we do – we provide one ‘naked’ (no cover) double or single duvet and one mattress protector per bed, plus two ‘naked’ pillows per person (double bed) and one per person (single bed). You just bring your own double/single sheets, pillow cases and double/single duvet covers – no bulky items to pack in the car! With our Luxury Package, we provide all the bedding (no need to bring anything) and an extra charge per bed applies.

Outside you’ll have your own covered picnic table where you can cook under cover on a gas hob. Your hand-forged fire bowl with grill rack and hot plate means you can enjoy a cooked breakfast or evening barbecue and sit around the crackling fire underneath the starry Stackpole sky. (Outdoor chairs are provided). We’ll provide you with a starter fire-bowl kit, including kindling and one bag of logs. You can buy more logs on site as and when you need them.

The luxury toilets and showers and the kitchen are just across the field, and the compost loo is tucked into the corner, so you’re never far from the facilities. You’ll need to bring your own towels and toiletries and we recommend bringing slippers with you to feel truly at home.
