Data and privacy are very important at Stackpole Under The Stars. We want you to know exactly how we collect and use your data so that you know exactly where you stand. You will find detailed information below but if you have any questions please get in touch.

In Brief

Stackpole Under The Stars securely stores the information you give to us when you book a holiday or buy a voucher, or when you sign up to our newsletter. If you would like a copy of the information we keep on you, or if you would like us to delete all or part of it we are happy to comply. Please contact us using the details below and we can arrange this for you. We will send you emails or call you when we need to contact you about any bookings you have with us or when we need to pass on important information. If you would like us not to contact you by phone or email please let us know and we will respect your wishes. We have outlined below any essential organisations with whom we need to share your details, e.g. our online booking agent. We will never share any information you have given to us with anyone else.

What types of data DO we collect and how do we use it?

Cookies

When someone visits www.stackpoleunderthestars.wales we use cookies to collect data for website analytics. We use Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

Data we collect when you make a booking

When you book a stay with us, we need certain information from you to complete the booking process, as follows.

When you book directly over email and you pay by bank transfer, we will only ask for your full name, email address and a contact number. We need this information so we can allocate your pitch / accommodation, for our own accounts and record keeping and so we can send you your booking confirmation and essential information about your stay. The same applies when you pay by debit or credit card over the phone.

When you make an online booking, or when you ask us to do so on your behalf, you do so via the online booking system, Bedful. To pay for your booking this way, Bedful needs your full postal address that matches the credit or debit card you pay with, as well as your name, email address and phone number. This information is shared with us at Stackpole Under The Stars to complete the booking process. It is also shared with Stripe, which is our card payment system. You will see this option at the checkout and you will need to select it and enter your card details before your data is shared. It is secure and your data will only be used to process your order. When you pay to become a member of the Greener Camping Club, to whom we are affiliated, we give them your name and email address so they can send you your membership details. For more information see the Greener Camping Club’s privacy policy.

We may also collect other information that is relevant to your booking in response to any specific requests or queries you have made.

We will only use your information to complete the booking procedure and to contact you about the booking. You are welcome to ask us at any point, what data we have, how we keep it and we will be happy to delete it on request. Mailing List

As part of the registration process for our mailing list, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about stuff you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.

We use MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing us.

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Access to your personal information
