Safari Tent glamping
Safari Tent glamping is ideal for those who love camping under canvas but don’t want to pack everything but the kitchen sink to go on holiday. Our spacious off-grid Safari Tents sleep up to seven people, with two separate bedrooms and a sofa bed. It’s all the fun of camping, but someone else puts in the hard work.
Available from Easter to October.
Safari Tent glamping is new for 2020 at Stackpole Under The Stars. The Safari Tent is the largest accommodation we offer. Both our tents sleep up to seven people. The Safari Tents have replaced our bell tents and are made of much stronger, longer lasting canvas, as well as being much larger.
Each Safari Tent has two separated bedroom compartments, one with a double bed and the other with a triple-sleeper bunk bed (two on the bottom, one on the top!). There is also a double sofa bed in the main living area. The beds are made ready for your arrival, with all bedding, blankets and just-in-case hot water bottles provided. There are solar fairy lights and several battery-powered lanterns to light your evenings. The Safari Tents also come with a solar power pack for charging small devices.
The main living area includes a small food preparation area with gas hob cooker, storage cupboards and a dining table and chairs. You’ll also find all the pans, crockery and cutlery you’ll need. A substantial cool box is provided.
Outside the Safari Tents have a canvas-covered front deck with picnic table, perfect for sitting out with your favourite tipple and gazing out at the sunset. A hand-forged fire bowl with grill rack and hot plate means you can perfect that cooked breakfast outdoors or an evening barbecue and sit around the crackling fire underneath the starry Stackpole sky. We’ll provide you with a starter fire-bowl kit, including kindling and one bag of logs. You can buy more logs on site as and when you need them. Finally, just to make sure you feel totally relaxed, there is a tarp-covered hammock alongside your pitch.
Deck chairs are also provided.
The luxury toilets and showers and the washroom are just across the field, and the compost loo is tucked into the corner, so you’re never far from the facilities. You’ll need to bring your own towels and toiletries and we recommend bringing slippers with you to feel truly at home.
